B.J. Penn's next fight hasn't been officially announced, but he's expected to defend his UFC lightweight title against Frankie Edgar on April 10, and he's already training like a man who's got a big fight ahead of him.
Penn posted a video Monday to his YouTube channel showing him working out with the renowned trainer Marv Marinovich, and it has all the hallmarks of the classic Marinovich workout: Lots of plyometric drills and exercises designed to develop explosiveness.
The biggest knock on Penn for much of his MMA career has been that he doesn't always show up in great shape, but since he started working with Marinovich prior to his fight with Kenny Florian last year, Penn has appeared to be in phenomenal physical condition. It's great to see one of the most talented fighters in MMA turn into one of the hardest workers as well. A B.J. Penn in great shape is all but unbeatable.
