Derrick Noble will make his return to the Maximum Fighting Championship against Yves Edwards at MFC 24 on Feb. 26 in Edmonton, Canada.
Noble, who failed to capture the MFC lightweight title against current champ Antonio McKee in February 2009, signed on Thursday to replace three-time UFC fighter Per Eklund.
Edward was brought into MFC 24 for one fight when Eklund's original opponent, Hermes Franca, announced his retirement last weekend following a TKO loss in in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Edwards and Noble are both entering the fight on a two-fight win streak within the past four months. Noble defeated Shonie Carter and Joe Benoit, while Edwards reeled off finishes against James Warfield and Kyle Jensen.
Noble holds wins over current UFC fighters Thiago Alves (video is above) and Jake Ellenberger.
At the following MFC, Wilson Gouveia will move back to light heavyweight and take on Ryan Jimmo at MFC 25 on April 9.
