UFC 108: Jim Miller Submits Duane Ludwig

Jim MillerDuane Ludwig made his long-awaited return to the Octagon Saturday night at UFC 108, but he had no answer for the superior jiu jitsu skills of Jim Miller, who forced Ludwig to tap out with an arm bar in the first round of the fight.

Miller had no trouble at all trading strikes with Ludwig in the early going, knocking him to the ground quickly with a counter right hook and mounting him, then transitioning into an arm bar and securing the submission victory only a minute and a half into the first round.

"I'm working on my striking every day," Miller said. "Just trying to get better."

Miller, who improved his record to 16-2, thanked the fans for coming out and supporting the show, and he criticized those who have called it a weak card. So far, it's been a card full of exciting finishes: The first four fights shown on the live TV broadcast have all ended in the first round.

For Ludwig, the disappointing loss drops his record to 19-10. This was Ludwig's first UFC fight in four years, and he may not be back.
