Strikeforce Undercard Live Blog: Britt vs. Lighty, Wilcox vs. Nakamura, More

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- This is the Strikeforce live blog for the five preliminary bouts on the Strikeforce: Evolution card.

The first bout is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:30 PM ET.

The live blog begins below.

Jimmy Lennon announces the fighters in attendance: Roger Gracie, Cris Cyborg, Bobby Lashley, Hershel Walker, Brett Rogers, Robbie Lawler, Dan Henderson, Nick Diaz and Chuck Liddell.

Antwain Britt vs. Scott Lighty

Round 1: They clinch. Lighty's high kick is blocked. Britt drops Lighty and rains down rapid-fire lefts. He lands in side control. Britt controls Lighty's back. Lighty is bloodied up. Britt comes forward with punches and Lightly falls down, slipping. Britt throws again and drops Lighty. Lighty gets to his feet with around a minute left. And again, Lighty is dropped. Britt wrestles into side control.

MMAFighting.com scores the round 10-8 in favor of Britt.

The referee calls off the fight off.

Britt wins by TKO - R1, 5:00

The fight was stopped at request of doctor. Britt is emotional in his post-fight interview.

Daisuke Nakamura vs. Justin Wilcox

Nakamura enters in black manties with a Japan headband to Linkin Park's One Step Closer. Wilcox enters to Eminem's I am and he's joined at the ramp by his corner which includes Josh Koscheck.

Round 1: Wilcox comes forward with jab, cross. Wilcox popping out jabs. Wilcox is trying to set up the right hand. Nakamura bloodies Wilcox's nose with punches. Nakamura has his hands low, left hand at his waist. He must be confident in his quickness. Wilcox moves forward and catches Nakamura. Nakamura drops his head down but he's okay. Nakamura has practically both hands by his waist. Wilcox chases with punches but Nakamura avoids this time. Wilcox moves forwards again and lands. Wilcox is tagging Nakamura, but it seems like it's not bothering him if he's now lifting his hands up. Nakamura tries a knee. Wilcox drops Nakamura, but Nakamura gets right back up.

10-9 for Wilcox.

Round 2: They box. Nakamura jabs. Wilcox continues to look to land his right hand. Nakamura signals an eye poke. He's okay and the fight is restarted. Wilcox throws a flurry and Nakamura backs. Nakamura is using his quickness and head movements to avoid shots, but he's not avoiding all of them. He's going to lose the round if he doesn't start throwing more or changing up his strategy. Nakamura lands a leg kick and dodges a flurry of punches. Nakamura lands a leg kick. Wilcox takes Namaura down. Nakamura is active from guard, but he doesn't have enough time.

10-9 Wilcox.

Round 3: They exchange. Nakamura slips and Wilcox tries to take advantage. Nakamura gets back to his feet. WIlcox swings and Nakamura avoids. Nakmaura lands a right. Wilcox takes Nakamura down and Nakamura rolls. Nakamura gets to his feet and throws a knee. Wilcox lands a jab. Wilcox throws a knee. Wilcox connects with a right. Nakamura lands a leg kick. Wilcox attacks. Nakamura's fast punches have opened up a cut around Wilcox's left eye. The third round ends with an exchange.

Wilcox wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27)

Alex Crispim vs. A.J. Fonseca

Crispim walks down the ramp sporting a gi with a black belt to the sounds of DMX. Fonseca out of Urijah Faber's camp enters to Bush's Machinehead. Both fighters are well-received by the early crowd.

Round 1: Crispim throws leg kicks. Fonseca lands a punch and Crispim shoots. Fonseca defends and they battle in clinch. Crispim eventually pushes Fonseca down. Crispim drops right hands and elbows on Fonseca, who is trying to turn into Crispim to escape. Fonseca works to halfguard. Fonesca stands and Crispim shoots for the single. Fonseca tags Crispim with punches. Crisim tries a variety of kicks that score but Fonseca isn't too worried about them.

Round 2: Crispim throws out punches but he doesn't seem as comfortable standing as Fonseca is. Crispim shoots and they are in clinch with Crispim's back against the fence. They trade knees to each other's thighs. Fonseca attacks with knees. Crispim answers. Now Fonseca shoots and gets the takedown. However Crispim appears to have a choke uses it to take the top position. Crispim drops hammerfists. Crispim stands and passes to side control. Fonseac tries to kick him off but Crispim falls to full mount. Fonseca stands and they feel each other out on their feet. Crispim is waving his arms around trying to get Fonseca to move in. Crispim lands a hard leg kick, and Fonseca misses a leg kick. Crispim's high kick is blocked but a low kick hits the mark.

Round 3: Crispim lands to the body and to the leg with kicks. The pace has slowed and they clinch. Fonseca reaches for a single-leg. Crispim with a couple of nice knees to the body with Muay Thai clinch. Crispim knees Fonseca to the face. The referee restarts them standing. Crisim continues to work kicks. Crispim is now dictating the standup. Fonseca takes down Crispim. Crispim attempts an omoplata.

*Bobby Stack vs. Alex Trevino was pulled from the card. No official word why, but I'm being told something happened following the weigh-ins.
