Paulo Filho, Ninja Rua Win at Bitetti Combat 5

UFC 107 isn't Saturday's only MMA show. The Brazilian Bitetti Combat promotion had its fifth card Saturday afternoon in Sao Paulo, with Paulo Filho and Murilo "Ninja" Rua among the winners.

Filho, the former World Extreme Cagefighting middleweight champion, looked a little overweight but had no trouble at all defeating the overmatched Tatsuhiko Nishizaka. When he's physically and mentally ready, Filho is one of the best fighters in the world, but unfortunately he hasn't often been physically and mentally ready in the last couple of years. If his mind and body are right, it would be nice to see Filho fight some better opponents soon.

Rua, the brother of UFC No. 1 light heavyweight contender Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, appeared to be in trouble at one point in the fight but put away Jason Jones by second-round TKO.
