Roy Nelson Awarded Knockout of the Night Honors

Roy Nelson knocked out Brendan Schaub to win The Ultimate Fighter 10 competition for a six-figure contract Saturday at the live finale in Las Vegas, and he'll also walk away with an extra $25,000 for the Knockout of the Night award.

Schaub had threw more combos and had the faster punches, but all it took was an overhand right from Nelson to render the ex-pro football player unconscious on the canvas.

For submission of the night, Canadian Mark Bocek was honored at the post-fight press conference for his rear-naked choke over UFC newcomer Joe Brammer. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt climbed the back of Brammer and submitted him with the choke, standing.

No stranger to Fight of the Night bonuses, Frankie Edgar earned his third career Fight of the Night with his win over Matt Veach, who also earned $25,000 for his participation. Edgar overcame Veach's powerful slams in the first round to drop Veach in the second with a right and finish on the ground with a rear-naked choke.

Notes: The announced attendance was 1,400 at the Pearl at the Palms ... Matt Hamill was taken to the hospital to treat his nose and shoulder injuries.
