Jones almost came to blows with Mitrione when Jones learned that friend Scott Junk's MMA career might be over because of damage inflicted in a fight against Mitrione.

Round 1: Jones taps a leg kick and moves into clinch. The big man throws Mitrione into side control. Mitrione escapes to half guard and stands up into clinch. Jones swings a big right, but he's really looking to take Mitrione down. Jones throws a right again and grabs a leg. Mitrione hits him with a knee. Jones has over-under with Mitrione on the fence. Mitrione hits Jones with knees in clinch. They separate at 2:23. Jones throws a leg kick and grabs neck control. Jones attempts an arm-in guillotine choke. Mitrione escapes to standing and connects on leg kicks. They exchange sloppy punches. Jones takes Mitrione down, but Mitrione quickly returns to standing. Jones connects wiht lefts. Mitrione swings away and Jones appears a little stunned. Jones takes Mitrione down into side control.
