Rivalry Reignited: Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz Tapped as Coaches for TUF 11

Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz will make it a trilogy. The two former light heavyweight champions will coach The Ultimate Fighter 11 and fight after the completion of the show, the UFC announced Saturday during the season 11 live finale.

"Obviously my good friend Chuck Liddell has been terrorizing me to come back and fight again," UFC president Dana White said. "And I think the fans want to see him compete, so obviously Chuck Liddell will be one of the coaches and the opposing coach will be Tito Ortiz."

Liddell stopped Ortiz once at UFC 47 in April 2004 and a second time at UFC 66 in December 2006.

White forced Liddell into retirement following Liddell's loss to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 97 in April, but White has softened his stance and will allow Liddell to continue fighting.

"At the end of the day, I am not his dad," White said. "The guy is a legend on the sport; he's the beat the who's who of the sport of mixed martial arts -- here and in the PRIDE organization. So to tell him that he can't have one more shot; It's tough to do."

Season 11 premieres in spring 2010 and will feature middleweights.
