A bout agreement for Strikeforce: Evolution has fallen through, and Charles "Kid Khaos" Bennett, more famously known under the "Krazy Horse" handle, will now fight Bobby Green at King of the Cage on Dec. 17 in San Bernadino, Calif.
FanHouse has learned that Strikeforce was in discussions to bring the controversial lightweight onto the Strikeforce Dec. 19 card in San Jose, but a matchup could not be agreed upon. However, Bennett, who holds a knockout win over recent Strikeforce signee KJ Noons on a live EliteXC card on Showtime in February 2007, could still land on a Strikeforce card next year.
Bennett returned to MMA earlier this summer after missing nearly two years due to run-ins with the law. Upon returning, Bennett, who turned 30 last week, changed his nickname to "Kid Khaos" in an effort to shed his bad boy image and rededicate himself to MMA.
His King of the Cage opponent on Dec. 17 is Green, a 23-year-old with a tireless schedule. The Californian began fighting last year, but has already amassed a 10-2 record. He fought eight times last year and his fight against Bennett will be his fifth in 2009. Earlier this year, he lost on the Affliction 2 pay-per-view card to current UFC lightweight Dan Lauzon by rear-naked choke submission.
