World Victory Road has named 10 participants for its New Year's Eve Sengoku Raiden Championships 12 event at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo.
Sengoku will be rebranded as Sengoku Raiden Championship beginning Dec. 31 and the event will go head-to-head against FEG's Dynamite!! 2009, happening at the Saitama Super Arena.
While the only bout announced so far is Hidehiko Yoshida vs. Satoshi Ishii, the other participants revealed Wednesday were Mizuto Hirota, Masanori Kanehara, Satoru Kitaoka, Hatsu Hioki, Michihiro Omigawa, Kazunori Yokota, Eiji Mitsuoka, Makoto Takimoto, Hiroshi Izumi and Kazuhiro Nakamura.
Also, two more bouts were added for Sengoku 11 on Nov. 7 in Tokyo, Japan.
Akihiro Gono, who is coming off losses to Dan Hardy, Jon Fitch and Dan Hornbuckle, will met SpiritMC veteran Yoon Young "Shin Ramen" Kim (12-4). Kim is 22 years old and already holds eight wins by submission.
Two struggling DEEP featherweights, HIrokazu "Bull" Konno (1-3) and Tomoaki Ueyama (2-3), will meet in a "Fight of the Soul" intermission attraction.
