FanHouse will have play-by-play of tonight's The Ultimate Fighter 10 fight between Kimbo Slice vs. Roy Nelson.
In just the third episode of the season, the two most recognized cast members will face off inside the Octagon. Slice is easily the most popular of the 16 fighters and he will take on Nelson, the heavy favorite and former IFL heavyweight champion.
Results are below. Chat with us about the episode beginning at 10PM ET.
R1: Nelson jabs. Slice looking to counter. Slice lands a nice leg kick at 4:16. Both men are very tentative. Nelson throws a looping left hook that's blocked. Nelson fires jabs that are blocked. Nelson is backed against the cage and Slice swarms in with punches. Nelson protects himself and gets in the clinch position. Nelson has double underhooks with Slice's back against the fence. Nelson eventually muscles Slice to the floor, landing in full mount. Nelson steps over to side control. Slice kicks off the cage in an attempt to escape, but Nelson maintains control. Nelson lays on top of Slice's left arm and drops repeated lefts. Slice can't escape but survives the round. 10-9 Nelson.
The fight arguably should have been stopped as Slice wasn't defending himself, but maybe it was because Nelson's ground and pound didn't appear powerful. When the bell sounds, Slice stands up fine to return to his corner.
R2: Slice reaches with a heavy jab that misses. Slice throws a punch combo and Nelson looks to clinch. Slice connects. Slice throws a knees but that allows Nelson to put him on the ground. In side control, Nelson tries to trap Slice's arm again. Nelson looks briefly for a keylock but gives it up to put Slice in the crucifix. Nelson drops punches. Again, Slice can't escape, but this time referee Herb Dean stops the fight.
The preview for next week's episode hints that Marcus Jones goes down and Slice could be a replacement.
