This is the UFC 103 live blog for the Spike TV portion of the night's event, featuring fights between Cole Miller and Efrain Escudero, and Tomasz Drwal and Drew McFedries.I'm cageside at the American Airlines Center in Dallas for all the blow-by-blow. Drew McFedries vs. Tomasz Drwal
Round one: McFedries comes out throwing thunder. After eating a few power shots, Drwal decides it may be in his best interest to go to the ground. He fails. McFedries has a cut over his eye from one of the exchanges. After Drawl ducks under a left hook, he uses a body lock to take McFedries down, but they don't stay there long. Drwal lands a series of knees to McFedries' legs. They both exchange power shots as the pace starts to slow. Drwal actually implores McFedries on. Drwal gets a takedown with 30 seconds left and quickly moves to mount. McFedries covers up but the round runs out as Drwal looks for a rear naked choke. FanHouse scores the round for Drwal 10-9.
Round two: Drwal with a powerful left hook early that snaps McFedries' head sideways. Drwal takes it down. McFedries has never looked comfortable on his back. He immediately takes McFedries' back and applies the rear naked choke, and McFedries taps.
Winner: Tomasz Drawl by rear naked choke submission at 1:03
Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller
Round one: Big reach advantage is apparent early as Escudero tries to find the range. Miller threw a body kick which Escudero caught and followed up with a punch that knocked Miller down. Escudero didn't follow him to the mat, however. Escudero caught another kick and slammed Miller down. He let Miller up again, and hammered him with a right. Miller stumbled. Escudero smelled victory and connected with another hard right. This one knocked Miller down and Escudero drilled him twice from the top. Miller was out and the ref moved in to stop it.
Winner: Escudero via TKO at 3:36
