UFC Fight Night Preview, Predictions on Diaz-Guillard, Huerta-Maynard, More

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has four live fights on free TV Wednesday night, when UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Guillard airs live on Spike before the debut of Season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter. Full preview and predictions on the four televised fights are below.

What: UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Guillard

When: The undercard starts around 5 PM ET Wednesday and the televised card begins at 8.

Where: Cox Convention Center, Oklahoma City

How: You can watch live on Spike, and you can get all the results here at FanHouse.

Predictions on the four televised fights:
Nate Diaz vs. Melvin Guillard
Diaz, who won Season 5 of The Ultimate Fighter, has been a bit down on his luck lately, losing his last two fights. I think he'll use his superior Brazilian jiu jitsu skills to get back on track against Guillard, who has been submitted six times in his MMA career. Pick: Diaz.

Roger Huerta vs. Gray Maynard
I consider this, not Diaz vs. Guillard, the true main event. Huerta and Maynard are two of the best young lightweights in the UFC, but their careers are going in opposite directions: Maynard is on the way up, with a title shot likely just a win or two away, while Huerta is on the way out, with talk that he might decide to pursue a career in acting or modeling instead of MMA. I expect Maynard to take Huerta down and dominate him on the ground. Pick: Maynard

Carlos Condit vs. Jake Ellenberger
This card lost what would have been a very good fight when Chris Lytle dropped out of his scheduled bout with Condit because of an injury. Ellenberger, a 24-year-old making his UFC debut, is a talented fighter, but he's not in Condit's league. Pick: Condit

Nate Quarry vs. Tim Credeur
Credeur has won all three of his fights in the Octagon since losing twice on The Ultimate Fighter, but he hasn't fought anyone nearly as good as Quarry, who should dominate the fight in the stand-up. Pick: Quarry.
