This is the UFC 102 live blog for Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva, the light heavyweight co-headliner on the pay-per-view card. Jardine and Silva are both looking to avoid back-to-back losses. Jardine dropped a unanimous decision to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in March and Silva suffered a first-round knockout at the hands of current champion Lyoto Machida in January.

Round 1: Jardine threw a body kick and Silva caught it, swept the leg and got the takedown. Jardine worked his way back to his feet. After a quick standup trade, Silva caught Jardine with a left hook. Jardine went down, Silva stood over him and landed a powerful right and then a left. Jardine went limp and ref Herb Dean stepped in to stop it. It took just 95 seconds.Winner: Silva via KO
