Nick Thompson vs. Dan Hornbuckle Announced for Sengoku 10

World Victory Road held a news conference Tuesday to announce three additional bouts for its Sengoku 10 card on Sept. 23 in Tokyo, Japan.

Dan Hornbuckle (18-2), who at the last Sengoku spoiled Akihiro Gono's return to Japan by way of a devastating head kick knockout, will take on Nick "The Goat" Thompson (38-11-1) in a welterweight bout. Thompson is returning to Sengoku off a loss as a middleweight to Tim Kennedy at Strikeforce Challenger Series in June.

Also announced is middleweight Joe Doerksen (42-12) facing Sengoku newcomer Takenori Sato (9-6-4) out of Kazushi Sakuraba's Laughter 7 gym. Doerksen won his Sengoku debut last November, stopping Pancrase veteran Izuru Takeuchi, whom Sato earlier this month fought to a draw.

In light heavyweight action, King of Pancrase Ryo Kawamura (10-4-2) will look to avenge the first loss of his career to Fabio Silva (11-5) of Chute Boxe. Silva's knockout win over Kawamura at a Pancrase event in May 2007 is the only time Kawamura has been finished in a fight.

With the announcement, eight bouts are now official for Sengoku 10.
