Shaquille O'Neal is well known as a big mixed martial arts fan, so it's no surprise that with World Extreme Cagefighting coming to his new home state of Ohio, Shaq is getting ready to attend.
But it is a little bit of a surprise that Shaq is taking on such a high-profile role in promoting WEC 43, which takes place on September 2 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown. Shaq has taped the above video, said he plans to attend the vent, and even called out main event fighters Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson as lucky that they're not in Shaq's weight class.
The September 2 card isn't one of the WEC's best, so it needs all the help it can get in attracting attention. It's good for the WEC that they've got friends like Shaq.
