Round one: Pellegrino landed a hard right to start the action. He then took Neer down with a single-leg slam. Pellegrino worked him over for a bit until Neer tried an arm bar. Pellegrino pulled free. Pellegrino has excellent top control as Neer hasn't come close to escaping. Nothing powerful for Pellegrino, but for controlling the round, FanHouse scores the round for him 10-9.
Round two: Pellegrino is getting the better of the exchanges, which is a bit of a surprise. Neer might be too on-guard for takedown tries. Pellegrino does drag him down again 1:30 into the round. Neer threatened with an arm bar and then a triangle but Pellegrino is excellent on the ground and bypassed the trouble. Pellegrino worked to full mount with 60 seconds left, and Neer gave up his back. Pellegrino worked for the rear naked choke but didn't come close as time ran out. FanHouse scores the round for Pellegrino 10-9.
Round three: Neer stalking early. Lands a kick to the body. Tries it again and Pellegrino catches it and takes him down. That could be all, folks. It's pretty much a stalemate on the ground. Pellegrino can't land much, but Neer can't get to his feet. Neer is cut over an eye but nothing serious. With 45 seconds left, Pellegrino goes for a rear naked choke, Neer slips up and gets top position. But Pellegrino works out in a snap. Neer lands a series of hard elbows as the round ends. An angry Neer throws away his mouthpiece afterward. FanHouse scores the round for Pellegrino.
