Liddell and Lewis will be the sixth and seventh members of the UFC Hall of Fame, joining Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn and Mark Coleman.
"I appreciate this gesture and I'm glad that people appreciate what I do and that they think that I deserve this, but I'm just one of the guys that fight out there," Liddell said on UFC.com. "It's gonna be a little rough being that it's Charles and me, but for us to go in together, I wouldn't have it any other way."
Lewis, one of the earliest supporters of mixed martial arts, passed away in an automobile accident in March.
The induction will take place during the UFC Fan Expo on Friday, July 10 immediately following UFC president
Dana White's keynote address scheduled from 5:30-6:30 p.m. local time
at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
