Kenny Florian to commentate at WEC 41

Kenny Florian, the number one contender to the UFC lightweight crown, will provide color commentary at the Versus-televised WEC 41: Brown vs Faber event on June 7.

He will fill in for interim UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir and join play-by-play announcer Todd Harris to call the fights from the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California.

Florian has done color commentary in the past, stepping in for Joe Rogan (who had to attend a close friend's wedding) at UFC 83 "Serra vs St-Pierre 2" on April 19, 2008.

Florian will formally begin his training camp next week in the Boston area for his fight against BJ Penn at UFC 101 "Declaration" on August 8 in Philadelphia. It will be Florian's second chance at the title. In his initial attempt towards a UFC belt, Florian lost a unanimous decision to Sean Sherk at UFC 64 "Unstoppable" in October 2006.
