Dana White to make special announcement on Spike TV

UFC president Dana White will make a special announcement on Thursday during the "The 2009 Video Game Awards - E3 First Look Special" airing at 11 p.m. ET on Spike TV.

White appears on the special to talk about the "UFC 2009 Undisputed" video game.

The last time White hyped up a big announcement was last June when UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta resigned as president of Station Casinos to work full-time with the UFC.

MMAFighting.com takes a look at what the announcement could be:

- The Ultimate Fighter 10 Coaches: This would be everyone's first guess as the show will begin filming next week and that he's previously made a special announcement during the 2007 Video Game Awards to announce Forrest Griffin and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as coaches of season seven. However, White has already said that coaches would be named on June 2 or 3.

- The return of Mirko Cro Cop: Yes, White has already confirmed in interviews that Cro Cop will indeed return to the UFC at UFC 99, but he hasn't made any official announcements yet. Additionally, the official UFC website has no mention of Cro Cop for the event.

- The signing of a top middleweight: White told Yahoo! Sports late last month that he was working on signing a middleweight that "would blow your mind."

But of course, the announcement could be completely out of left field like the last one with Fertitta.
