Andrei Arlovski vs. Brett Rogers Set for Strikeforce June 6 Show

Strikeforce has added a big-time heavyweight bout to its June 6 card, with Andrei Arlovski taking on Brett Rogers.

The bout, first reported by the Fight Network, was confirmed to FanHouse by sources with knowledge of the scheduling. It represents by far the toughest challenge yet for the undefeated Rogers, and it's the first fight for Arlovski, a consensus Top 10 heavyweight, since he was knocked out by Fedor Emelianenko in January.

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem, who previously said he would fight on the June 6 card, is now not expected to be there. Arlovski had previously been scheduled to make his professional boxing debut on June 27; it is not clear what his boxing future holds now that he's made a deal with Strikeforce.

Here's how the Strikeforce June 6 card on Showtime is shaping up:

Jake Shields vs. Robbie Lawler
Andrei Arlovski vs. Brett Rogers
Nick Diaz vs. Scott Smith
Phil Baroni vs. Joe Riggs
Kevin Randleman vs. Mike Whitehead
