The title bout on the card is Penn's much-delayed lightweight belt defense against Florian. The second co-headliner features middleweight champ Silva back at 205, but this time against a former champion in Griffin.
Ricardo Almeida, who said he was planning on moving down to welterweight for his next fight, will hold off on the idea. He's signed on to fight "The Ultimate Fighter 3" winner Kendall Grove.
Set back already from two fights due to injuries, Amir Sadollah will make his long-awaited return to the Octagon since winning "The Ultimate Fighter 7" competition. Standing in front of him is WEC transplant Johny Hendricks, a four-time All-American wrestler out of Oklahoma State University.
Kurt Pellegrino and Josh Neer will collide in a battle of two lightweights coming off wins at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 7. Neer last scored an exciting submission win over Mac Danzig. Meanwhile, Pellegrino has recorded back-to-back wins over Thiago Tavares and Rob Emerson. Both Neer and Pellegrino's most recent loss was to Nate Diaz.
