Dan "The Beast" Severn, 50, will look to snap a two-fight losing streak when he returns to Gladiator Challenge on Saturday, May 16 in Elko, Nevada.
He'll take on 28-year-old Chris Wood out of Team Miletich in South Dakota.
Severn began competing in MMA at the UFC 4 tournament in December 1994, where he submitted two opponents with rear-naked chokes but tapped out to a triangle choke applied by Royce Gracie in the finals. He gave it another try at UFC 5 and won the entire tournament. In December 2005, Severn added another tournament title at Ultimate Ultimate 95.
