"I have no idea if I can do it," Canseco is quoted as saying by AP. "It's a tough sport."
At 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds, Canseco carries a intimidating presence. But he'll be the one standing face-to-chest against the 7-foot-2 and 330-plus pound Hong-Man Choi. Despite a 1-2 MMA record, Choi is a dangerous striker due to his sheer size and strength.
Choi is definitely a step up from Canseco's last opponent, actor Danny Bonaduce, whom Canseco boxed in an exhibition bout in January to a majority draw. Canseco last year was knocked out in a boxing bout against former NFL player Vai Sikahema.
Canseco vs. Choi is one of four matches in DREAM's "Super Hulk Tournament" organized to boost television ratings.
