Georges St-Pierre announces logo design contest

UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre is calling on his fans to design a logo that will appear on his website, t-shirts, banner and even a bandana.

St-Pierre will narrow down the entries to ten finalists and then allow fans to vote on the winning logo. Prizes are to be determined.

"This contest represents his desire to give something back to his fans -- to allow them to participate in his efforts to represent this sport on a whole new level," says manager Shari Spencer.

The logo will be displayed on his banner and shorts when St-Pierre defends his belt against Thiago Alves at UFC 100 on July 11 in Las Vegas.

"The ideal logo (and those selected as finalists) will portray Georges' character, traits such as traditional, classy, humble, athletic, respectful, disciplined, fearless," the website states.
