MMA Top 10 Pound-for-Pound: Georges St. Pierre Passes Anderson Silva

Anderson Silva's lackluster win over Thales Leites at UFC 97 has dropped him one spot on my latest rankings of the Top 10 pound-for-pound fighters in MMA.

I still consider Affliction heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko the best mixed martial artist in the world, but I've now moved UFC welterweight champion Georges St Pierre into second place, ahead of Silva, who drops down to third. Silva has an impressive 9-0 UFC record, but his two most recent fights have been his two least impressive fights in the Octagon, and I no longer view him as the UFC's best fighter.

My full Top 10 is below.

1. Fedor Emelianenko
Knocked out Andrei Arlovski in January; no one knows when we'll see him again.

2. Georges St. Pierre
Whipped B.J. Penn at UFC 94, has a tough test against Thiago Alves at UFC 100 and could face Anderson Silva after that.

3. Anderson Silva
Unimpressive in two straight wins, needs to move up to 205 pounds to find an opponent to motivate him.

4. Miguel Torres

Likely to defend his title against Brian Bowles in the summer or fall.

5. Lyoto Machida

Gets his title shot next month at UFC 98.

6. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson

Could he be Silva's next opponent?

7. B.J. Penn

Expected to take on Kenny Florian at UFC 101 in August.

8. Rashad Evans

Has the biggest challenge of his career against Machida on May 23.

9. Mike Brown

Defends his title against Urijah Faber at WEC 41.

10. Urijah Faber

His rematch against Brown on June 7 will be the biggest fight in WEC history.
