Caol Uno vs. Spencer Fisher official for UFC 99

Caol Uno will return to the Octagon at UFC 99 on June 13 to face Spencer Fisher in a lightweight bout, the UFC announced today.

UFC 99 "The Comeback," headlined by a 195-pound between Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva, takes place at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany.

Uno (25-11-4), 33, competed for the UFC in 2001 through 2003 and challenge for the UFC lightweight belt twice, losing a decision to Jens Pulver at UFC 30 in 2001 and fighting BJ Penn to a draw at UFC 41 in 2003.

"My participation at UFC 99 in Germany is now official," Uno wrote Monday on his blog. "I am excited as well as worried about my fight. I feel that I'm a challenger and also have some unfinished business in the Octagon. I have mixed feelings now. I will train hard and show all I have in my fight. Thank you for supporting me."

The Miletich Fighting Systems-trained Fisher (23-4) will be looking for his third straight UFC win. He went undefeated last year, picking up wins over Jeremy Stephens and Shannon Gugerty.

Uno vs. Fisher is slated to air on the pay-per-view portion of the card.
