The only bout previously official was the main event between Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva at a catchweight of 195 pounds.
Mike Swick (13-2) and Ben Saunders (7-0-2) are coming off dominant striking efforts this past December at the "UFC Fight For The Troops" special. The two former "The Ultimate Fighter"contestants will meet each other in a welterweight bout.
Dan Hardy (21-6-1) spoke at the UFC 95 post-fight press conference following his win over Rory Markham about wanting to fight Marcus Davis (21-5). The UFC has granted Hardy's request.
Dale Hartt (6-1)'s last victory was less than fulfilling. The lightweight from Bangor, Maine watched as his opponent suffered a gruesome broken leg injury for the referee stoppage. Hartt will return at UFC 99 for an attempt at his first solid win when he takes on Dennis Siver (13-6) out of Mannheim, Germany.
Despite a 20-2 record coming into Stefan Struve's UFC debut at UFC 95 in February, the 21-year-old heavyweight suffered a 54-second TKO loss to Junior Dos Santos. Struve was expected to be cut, but he's been brought back to fight another fighter out of the Netherlands Denis Stojnic (12-2), who lost in his UFC debut last month to Cain Velasquez.
