Bobby Lashley to remain on Roy Jones Jr. card

Square Ring Promotions will find a replacement for Ken Shamrock against Bobby Lashley in the MMA main event of the pro boxing/MMA card on March 21 in Pensacola, Florida.

"The show will go on," Square Ring Promotions CEO John Wirt said today. "Ken said he was taking over-the-counter products and has requested an expedited appeal. We're working with his group but, just in case, we are also looking for a possible replacement to fight Bobby Lashley. We have identified some great replacements for Shamrock and have been in contact with them. A press release will be issued very soon as to which direction we will be going."

The California State Athletic Commission announced yesterday that Shamrock (27-13-2) has been fined $2,500 and suspended through February 1, 2010 for testing positive for 9-Norandrosterone, 19-Noretiocholanolone and Stanozolol following his following his fight at the WarGods-Ken Shamrock Productions "Valentine's Eve Massacre" event on Feb. 13 in Fresno.

Square Ring Promotions' pro boxing/MMA card, headlined overall by eight-time boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. taking on Omar Sheika, will air live on pay-per-view at 9:00 p.m. ET for a suggested retail price of $29.95.
