UFC President Dana White says that he still expects Frank Mir to fight Brock Lesnar for the heavyweight title at UFC 98.
Although multiple media outlets reported today that Mir-Lesnar was off because Mir suffered an injury, White says that's news to him.
"I don't know anything about it, so I honestly couldn't tell you anything about it," White told Kevin Iole of Yahoo. "I'm not too worried about it now. If that were the situation, I'd know about it. I honestly don't know right now. I haven't talked to Frank and I haven't talked to Lesnar and if that's the situation, I'm not going to make any statements until I talk to everybody."
Mir did not return a call seeking comment. Mir vs. Lesnar is currently scheduled as the main event of UFC 98, which takes place May 23 in Las Vegas.
UPDATE: Mir talks about his knee surgery.
