UFC vet Nate Mohr wins at XFO 28

Nate Mohr, who was recently released by the UFC after four straight fights with the promotion, picked up a win Friday at XFO 28 in Lakemoor, Illinois.

The 25-year-old under WEC featherweight Jeff Curran stopped Danny Rodriguez with a knee to win in the third round. The lightweight ped a two-fight losing streak and advanced his record to 9-6.

Another Team Curran member, Mike Marello, who lost in the elimination round of "The Ultimate Fighter 7," won the XFO heavyweight belt over Sherman Pendergarst via split decision.

In the other championship fight on the card, Jon Murphy defeated Ryan Roberts via first-round TKO to win the promotion's lightweight strap.
