Gilbert Melendez will look to reclaim the Strikeforce lightweight belt when he takes on Josh "The Punk" Thomson in a rematch at Strikeforce "Shamrock vs. Diaz" on April 11 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
Melendez (14-2) lost the belt to Thomson (16-2) via unanimous decision in June 2008.
Strikeforce "Shamrock vs. Diaz" will air live on Showtime at 10 p.m. ET.
