Jason "Dynamite" Dent received his second chance with the UFC in January when he entered "The Ultimate Fighter 9: US vs. UK" competition, MMAFighting.com has learned.
The show wrapped earlier this week and is slated to premiere Wednesday, April 1.
Dent (18-9) was offered a spot in the elimination round of sixteen lightweights by the UFC. If he won his fight, he'll join the other seven winners as cast members in the house. The other eight fighters are made up of middleweights.
Dent fought at UFC 63 "Hughes vs. Penn" and UFC 68 "Uprising," losing in unanimous decisions to Roger Huerta and Gleison Tibau, respectively. After getting cut from the UFC, Dent returned to local shows in Ohio and won five of six.
