Cage Rage champ Che Mills to appear on 'TUF 9'

Cage Rage British welterweight champ Che Mills will be one of the sixteen welterweights on "The Ultimate Fighter 9," MMAFighting.com has learned.

32 fighters, comprised of 16 welterweights and 16 lightweights, were selected for the opening round of the show. 16 fighters total will enter the house after the intial elimination process.

Mills (6-1) last fought on May 10, 2008 when he defeated Marios Zaromskis via TKO to win the vacant Cage Rage British 170-pound belt at Cage Rage 26 "Extreme" in Birmingham, England.

In November 2006, Mills fought current UFC fighter Paul Taylor to a no contest at Cage Rage's feeder promotion "Contenders" due to a fan in the crowd sounding off an airhorn. Both the fighters initially thought the noise signaled the end of the round, but Mills was the first to capitalize by applying a rear naked choke. Officials later changed the result to a no contest.

Should he make it in the house, Mills will fight on the UK team coached by Michael Bisping.
