UFC 95: Preview and Predictions on Diego Sanchez-Joe Stevenson and More

Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Stevenson isn't the kind of main event you'd see on a pay-per-view show, but for a free show on Spike (which three of the next four UFC shows are), this is a pretty solid card. Everything you need to know is below.

What: UFC 95: Sanchez vs. Stevenson

In addition to the main event, the televised portion of the card features Nate Marquardt vs. Wilson Gouveia, Demian Maia vs. Chael Sonnen, Dan Hardy vs. Rory Markham and Josh Koscheck vs. Paulo Thiago.

When: Saturday

Where: O2 Arena, London

How: Live on Setanta in the U.K., tape delay on Spike at 9 PM ET/PT in the U.S.

Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Stevenson
Sanchez is the bigger, stronger and more skilled fighter, and my only question is whether Sanchez will have any trouble getting down to the lightweight limit of 155 pounds. If Sanchez is sapped of his strength as he cuts weight, Stevenson might have a chance. But I expect Sanchez to win this fight comfortably.
Predicted winner: Sanchez

Nate Marquardt vs. Wilson Gouveia
Gouveia told me he sees a UFC champion when he looks in the mirror, and if he beats Marquardt on Saturday, he has a real chance at getting a title shot. But when I talked to Marquardt I came away convinced that he's as focused and prepared for this fight as he's ever been, and I think he's going to take this one.
Predicted winner: Marquardt

Demian Maia vs. Chael Sonnen
Sonnen was the top middleweight in the WEC, and he has a frustrating style that can throw his opponents off their games. But I don't know if he can go 15 minutes with Maia, whose Brazilian jiu jitsu might be the best in MMA,and not get caught in a submission.
Predicted winner: Maia

Dan Hardy vs. Rory Markham
The British Hardy will have the home crowd on his side when he takes on Markham, who has good stand-up skils and won the knockout of the night award in his UFC debut. I expect Hardy to win this one, and I expect it to be a fight of the night candidate.
Predicted winner: Hardy

Josh Koscheck vs. Paulo Thiago
I don't know much about Thiago, and neither does Koscheck. I expect Koscheck to keep this fight standing up and win by TKO.
Predicted winner: Koscheck
