The middleweight division in mixed martial arts has one clearly dominant fighter -- UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva -- and then ... who?MMA fans can't agree on whether the middleweight division is weak, or if the best middleweights after Silva just aren't in the UFC, or if the best middleweights after Silva are in the UFC but have already lost to Silva, or what. My own feeling is that Silva has so thoroughly dominated the middleweight division that it might be time for him to move up to light heavyweight permanently, but for now he's got Thales Leites to deal with at UFC 97.
