Satoshi Ishi puts off signing with the UFC

Sportsnavi reported on Tuesday that Satoshi Ishii, who was a 2008 Olympic judo gold medalist, put on hold signing with the UFC and was going to talk with other events in the US such as Affliction.

He came back from Las Vegas on February 3 and had an interview with the press at Narita Airport. "First of all, I thank the UFC for making me an offer. After consulting with American Top Team, I decided not to rush contracting with the UFC. I am definitely interested in the UFC, yet I wouldn't mind talking with other events in the US." He also talked about his nickname in the ring. "I haven't decided yet, but "Ninja" will be my middle name."
