Fedor Emelianenko, the best heavyweight in MMA, only fought once in 2008, and that one fight lasted all of 36 seconds.
But that fight gave us what I consider to be the best moment of the year in MMA: The look on Tim Sylvia's face after Fedor beat him. You can see the look at the 3:27 mark in the above video, and it's a look that combines disgust with his own performance and disbelief at just how good Fedor is.
It's a look that says, "Why me?" And it's my favorite moment of the year in MMA.
