Andrei Arlovski has unveiled the first installment of Arlovski 360, a new video series to hype his upcoming fight with Fedor Emelianenko, and I have to say, it's pretty cool:
Although I'm not quite ready to buy into the hype that this is "the most anticipated heavyweight fight in mixed martial arts history," I do think Arlovski is doing a very good job of promoting his fight, which is the main event at Affliction: Day of Reckoning on January 24.
The most interesting quote comes from Dino Costeas, Arlovski's jiu jitsu coach: "He's got a great triangle choke from the mount that nobody ever sees, and I'm dying to see him whip it out on somebody."
I think if this fight goes to the ground, that heavily favors Fedor. But it's good to know that Arlovski, whose reputation is for being a great striker, is confident in his ground skills as well. I was already pumped about this fight, and the Arlovski 360 series is getting me more excited about it.
