All indications are that the main event at UFC 95 will be a middleweight title fight between Anderson Silva and Thales Leites, in London on February 21.
UFC President Dana White said this when asked about Silva's next fight:
"We're working on that right now," White said about Silva's next fight. "We're trying to set up a fight with him in February, hopefully, and we're thinking about Thales Leites."With all due respect to Leites, who has great submission skills, this looks like a mismatch. Silva is by far the best middleweight in the world and, in my opinion, the best pound-for-pound fighter in MMA. Leites, on the other hand, isn't even considered a Top 10 middleweight by most observers. (His average spot in the various MMA rankings is 14th.) Silva is a great fighter, but the UFC needs to find tougher challenges for him.
