Taking a page from the Strikeforce playbook, M-1 Challenge will run the first show of its 2009 season on Feb. 21 at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, California.
M-1 Global president Vadim Finkelstein has already signed the venue contract, according to the organization's website.
The show will feature three team matchups instead of the usual two: The Russian Imperial Team vs. Team Spain, Team Japan vs. Team UK and Team USA vs. Team Brazil.
Currently airing on a tape-delay basis on HDNet, the M-1 Challenge show at the Playboy Mansion could be the promotion's first live on the high-definition network.
