Patrick Cote will undergo arthroscopic surgery next week on his right knee.
Cote, whose leg gave way in the third round against champ Anderson Silva Saturday at UFC 90, is expected to be out six to eight months, Sportsnet.ca reports.
According to Cote's manager Stephane Patry, Cote originally injured his knee while training for his Drew McFedries fight at UFC Fight Night on January 23, and reaggravated the injury three to four weeks ago.
