And although there's no "official" announcement, MMA Convert notes that Affliction has updated its web site with what appears to be an official fight promotion poster, touting Arlovski and Emelianenko in the main event and several other fighters, including Babalu, Josh Barnett, Matt Lindland and Vitor Belfort, who will fight on the undercard. No opponents are listed for any of those fighters.
So will Affliction's show succeed? January 24 makes perfect sense as a date because UFC already has events scheduled for January 17 and January 31, so counter-programming will be difficult. But as EliteXC just found out, competing in the MMA business isn't easy.
