Michael Bisping to coach 'The Ultimate Fighter 9'

Michael Bisping has landed the head coaching gig for the UK team on "The Ultimate Fighter 9" with his win Saturday over Chris Leben at UFC 89 in Birmingham, England.

Bisping was long believed to be a coach since the ninth season of "The Ultimate Fighter," which will begin filming in January 2009, features a US vs. UK theme. However, the win over Leben made it official.

The open coaching spot for the US team will be filled by the winner of Dan Henderson vs. Rich Franklin at UFC 93 on January 17, 2009 in Dublin, Ireland.

This also means that Bisping's next fight won't be until the complete ninth season is finished airing on Spike TV. The Brit will fight the US head coach.
