NSAC exec director Keith Kizer talks fight-fixing

Keith Kizer, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission comments on fight-fixing in this video interview with ESPN Radio 1100.

"You just want to make sure that the fight gives his best effort, and there's no incentive for him not to give his best effort," Kizer said. "I see nothing wrong with a KO bonus, I see nothing wrong with a submission bonus, nothing wrong with a win bonus. So that's not a problem at all. It's just a matter of with any fight that the athlete does not have any incentive not to try his best.

"As far as I know, there's nothing there with respect to any fights in Nevada or elsewhere that I know of. But again I sure that if there's any types of issues to be investigated, the approprate commission will take that action."

EliteXC is currently under preliminary investigation for allegedly trying to influence the outcome of Seth Petruzelli vs. Kimbo Slice by offering Petruzelli a knockout bonus to not take the fight to the ground.
