On Tuesday night, October 7, the man who knocked out Kimbo Slice, Seth Petruzelli, joined hosts Brian Fritz, Dickerman, and Vito DeNucci live on Between The Ropes on ESPN Florida AM 1080 and AM 1060 to discuss his fight with Kimbo, what bonus Elite XC offered him and for what purpose, what his future plans are, and much more.

The interview began with the only logical topic, how Seth is feeling after knocking out Kimbo Slice. Seth said he's been stoked ever since the fight and has felt a rush of all sorts of emotions. Since the win over Kimbo he said his life has been nonstop and he's probably only gotten 5 hours of sleep since.

In addition to being a fighter Seth also owns a smoothie business and says that he plans to name a smoothie flavor in honor of his knockout victory.

As for the night of the fight itself, Seth said that he saw Kimbo earlier in the night before the fight was set and Kimbo seemed nervous or shaken so he didn't come into the cage intimidated.

Seth compared his fight with Kimbo to his victory over Bob Sapp, saying that big guys typically rush in early as was the case here. "He rushed me, I backed up, covered up, took my shots and one hit him right on the spot?I threw a couple of push kicks, he dropped his hands and left his chin out so I caught him with a right hook right on the button." Seth said the reason his punch was so effective was that Kimbo didn't see it coming and it landed in the perfect spot.

Seth said that if he had gone through a normal training camp he would have planned to shoot on Kimbo. He even planned to shot on him later in their fight, but it didn't come to that point.

Since the fight a lot of attention has been given to Seth's comments about whether he was given a bonus to stand up in the fight and avoid the ground. When asked about this Seth said "What was said by Elite XC was that there is a knockout bonus and what I meant by my comment was that I wanted to get the knockout bonus and stand with him just to see how I felt standing up and then if I needed to I would have shot. What I meant by that is that they entice people to get knockouts the same way that the UFC does, by offering a knockout bonus. That way they get people to want to trade and have an exciting fight."

Then Seth was asked what the future might be for him. He said that he plans to "ride the wave" of his victory over Kimbo for a while and then fight again early next year, likely in January or February. He also commented that a rematch with Kimbo doesn't appear to be on the horizon. Beside his career in the cage Seth said that the win couldn't have come at a better time because he is opening up a new gym this month.

The interview wrapped up with some talk about the pictures of Seth that surfaced online after knocking out Kimbo. Seth admitted that the pictures are the only thing he regrets about this whole experience, but on the bright side he won money in a scariest costume competition for his dominatrix costume, so at least he got paid.
