Franklin-Henderson, Coleman-Rua set for UFC 93

The UFC has announced two fights for its first event of 2009, UFC 93 at the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on January 17.

January 17 also happens to be the target date for the second Affliction event with Fedor Emelianenko. And with the first two bouts announced, the UFC is already making it difficult for fans to choose.

In the main event, former UFC middleweight champ Rich Franklin will take on former PRIDE middleweight and light-heavyweight champ Dan Henderson. Franklin will continue on as a light-heavyweight, while Henderson will move back up after losing as a middleweight to Anderson Silva.

The second bout announced is a rematch from PRIDE 31 between Mark Coleman and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Coleman won the upset back in February 2006 when Rua broke his arm on a fall 49 seconds into the fight.
