Live blogging the UFC 88 'Breakthrough' weigh-ins

Live updates from the UFC 88: Breakthrough weigh-ins at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

4:01pm - The UFC 88 weigh-ins are underway. Joe Rogan welcomes everyone to the weigh-ins and introduces "professional hot chick" Arianny Celeste (ring girl), President Dana White, matchmaker Joe Silva and ring announcer Bruce Buffer.

4:02pm - Ryo Chonan is up first. He makes weight at 170 pounds with a beanie on. Roan Carneiro also weigh-ins in at 170 pounds. They give each other an intense staredown and White steps between them to prevent anything from escalating. DREAM middleweight Jason "Mayhem" Miller is on stage with Chonan.

4:04pm - Jason MacDonald is next, and he weighs in at 185. Jason Lambert also weighs in at 185. They smile politely and give each other a hug before leaving the stage.

4:06pm - Matt Brown and Dong Hyun Kim both weigh in at 170. Due to Karo Parisyan vs. Yoshida being cancelled, Brown vs. Kim will be the first fight on the pay-per-view.

4:07pm - Mike Patt weighs in at 205.25 and Tim Boetsch weighs in at 205.25.

4:09pm - Kurt Pellegrino, sporting bleach blonde hair, weighs in at 156. A ripped Thiago Tavares steps on the scale and weighs in at 155. They shake hands and bow to each other before playfully posing for their staredown.

4:11pm - Nate Marquardt weighs in at 185. Martin Kampmann weighs in at 184.5.

4:13pm - Rousimar Palhares weighs in at 184.5. Former PRIDE middleweight and light-heavyweight champ Dan Henderson weighs in at 185 pounds.

4:14pm - Matt Hamill weighs in at 205. Rich Franklin walks in and gets the loudest reaction thus far. For his return to light-heavyweight, Franklin weighs in at 204.5.

4:16pm - The UFC plays a video promoting the main event Rashad Evans vs. Chuck Liddell.

4:18pm - Rashad Evans walks in to boos, but doesn't care. He smiles and waves to the crowd. He's clearly having a good time and soaking up this opportunity. He weighs in at 205. Fan favorite Chuck Liddell weighs in at 204. They give each other a serious staredown before shaking.

4:21pm - Evans says he's excited to be fighting Liddell and he's just looking to have a good time.

Liddell says there's no way to look past Evans and he's looking forward to putting Evans to sleep. Liddell says he wants his title back but he'll deal with that after this fight.

Rogan tells the crowd Parisyan vs. Yoshida is off and makes a quick comical exit plugging tomorrow's pay-per-view.
