Lauzon vs. Horodecki confirmed for Affliction 2

In a battle between two youngsters with high potential, Dan Lauzon, the younger brother of the UFC's Joe, will take on Chris Horodecki on Oct. 11 at Affliction "Day of Reckoning" in Las Vegas.

Lauzon's management has confirmed the fight and that the one-time UFC competitor has signed a 3-fight deal with Affliction.

Dan (10-2) at the age of 18 competed at UFC 64 and became the youngest fighter to ever fight in the UFC. The fight, a loss to veteran Spencer Fisher, took place just a little over six months after Lauzon's professional debut. Since then, Lauzon has fought in the smaller shows to take on fighters with more similar experience.

Horodecki, nicknamed "The Polish Hammer," was the star lightweight for the now-defunct IFL. At only 20 years of age, Horodecki holds a record of 12-1 with six wins by way of (T)KO. His one blemish was an upset loss to to Ryan Schultz in the finals of the IFL World Grand Prix.

Affliction won the bid for Horodecki over several promotions including World Victory Road, who was interested in flying in Horodecki to Japan to fight Takanori Gomi.
