Couture to return at UFC 91 against Lesnar

Randy Couture will fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 on November 15 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Couture has signed a new deal with the UFC for three fights. His first will be against Lesnar, with the winner taking on the winner between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir.

Couture last fought on Aug. 2007, successfully defending his belt against Gabriel Gonzaga via TKO in the third round. But less than two months after, Couture announced his resignation from the UFC stating he was relinquishing the UFC heavyweight title, stepping down as color commentator and leaving his efforts as UFC Ambassador.

In Jan. 2008, Zuffa, the parent company of the UFC, filed a lawsuit against Couture for breach of contract. Rumors surfaced recently that the UFC and Couture have negotiated out of talk to end their dispute.

Lesnar, in only his fourth career MMA fight, will be challenging for the most important heavyweight title in MMA.

Bodog already has odds on the fight, favoring Couture at -160, with Lesnar at +130. This means, a person betting on Couture will have to put down $160 to win $100, while a person betting on Lesnar will have to bet $100 to win $130.
